Officials: Pine beetle infestation has peaked

The pine beetle has just about eaten all the pines we have in the Colorado Mountains.  The infestation has peaked but the remaining millions of dead trees are causing a new hazard for us.

Maine man, 101, can't save beloved old elm, Herbie

Frank Knight was so smitten with the tree in his home town that he couldn't bear to cut it down. After all, it had been standing sentinel in this New England village since before the American Revolution.
